AB1705 Actions From FACCC

After a collapse of negotiations with Irwin's office, FACCC has taken the official position of Opposed unless Amended on AB 1705. This bill requires districts to place and enroll the vast majority of our students in transfer-level math and English in the first year, and this will cause enrollment to plummet.

This FACCC Google Document provides talking points, amendment suggestions, and actions for AB 1705 advocacy. The bill will be heard in Assembly Higher Education on April 26th. Connect with your Assemblymembers (including Valladares, Irwin, Santiago, Bloom, and Gabriel representing the SCV, Thousand Oaks, and Santa Monica, respectively.)
